Portrait of Severus Snape

EDIT: Another intriguing factoid: Rick's birthday is the same as Snape's... January ninth! Cuhrazy!

Ever since my boyfriend Rick dressed like Snape for the book release, I've been wanting to do a portrait of him in costume. I think he's perfect for the part, and if he'd been British, I'm sure he would have beat the other guy out for Young Snape. I imagine this portrait being of him either in his late student years or young teaching years.


The face is Rick unaltered (though that doesn't mean there aren't small facial changes by accident), and he very kindly put that super-tight costume back on, so that I could get a quick sketch of it. The hair I did after the fact, since Rick wasn't wearing his wig, and was editing video, so he had headphones on. (Hence the intense expression... it's his "editing" face.) Thanks for helping me, Rick! Oh, and for reference, here's him in costume at the HP thingy:
